Like books, readers come in all shapes and size. All children and teens need books on topics they love that are written at level they can understand. That why I love writing Hi-Lo nonfiction books. These heavily-researched books help students take a deep dive into a topic they love, but it does so on a reading level they can understand.

Text is written simply, but the topics covered are anything but simple! As an author, I learn so much by writing these books. And I love helping promote literacy and encouraging students of all kinds to explore science and get excited about reading.
